Sweeping in common sense is something that only trained chimney sweepers previously had to take care of. Today you can make a so-called financial statement of your boiler, either by burning it with oil, wood or other solid fuel. From a fuel economy point of view it can be very profitable. It is not difficult to economize. Experience hardly gives any knowledge of "knoparemoj", that is, in the chimney sweep language, but of course it is black as a brick, so there is a need to choose suitable clothing. The economics bill consists of removing both loose and solid coatings on the surfaces of the boiler that heat up. It is advisable to make an economic statement between the stipulations.
It is advisable to first consult the chimney sweeper if and how the boiler should be economically rooted. In the fourth paragraph of the fire law it states that "for municipality there shall be one or more chimney sweepers". According to the Civil Protection Act, the chimney sweeper must provide what is called "prescribed sweeping" and proofing of fire channels.
How often it should be done, a part varies. For single-family homes, the time period is usually 20-32 weeks, for multi-family houses 13 weeks. "Prescription Sweeping" means "Fireplace ... and associated smoke ducts ... should be cleaned" at each sweeping event.
However, the cleaning does not mean that the soot removes the solid coatings in the forehead. This is something that every homeowner may take care of - either the person doing it himself or turning to a pipe company who assumes the task. It is, therefore, this cleaning, which is called a financial statement. How often it may be profitable that financial statements are a matter that should be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Each heating system is unique. Among other things, one has to take into account how powerful the soot coating on the heat-absorbing surfaces is and what it costs to carry out the sweeping.
In general, it is possible to say that if you soothe yourself and do not count on working time, virtually every financial statement involves a profit. A good rule of thumb is to regularly check the flue gas temperature. If it has risen 50 degrees since the last measurement, it is a sign that you should make an economic statement as soon as possible.
Sot has annoyed people as long as we have been able to cook. In the early days, it was spoken of "sooted wood" or "sooted hill", that is, the roof that became sooty of the smoke from the fireplace. How long you've been kidding, it's hardly anyone who knows, but you did it at least in the 17th century. Then the saying was "Often there is a fire in the house of the sober". One of course meant that one's own should be back and the customers will be in the first place.
A homeowner is always interested in effective insulation materials. That property also has grime. The problem is just that the soot puts itself in the wrong place and therefore acts with reverse effect. The insulation effect is high, because only 1 mm soot coating in the boiler causes the flue gas temperature to increase by about 50 degrees. This single millimeter soot, in turn, affects fuel consumption by 3 percent. Eldas boiler with wood is also formed about ten times more soot than at oil fired.
There is therefore a lot of money to save with economical billing - considerably more than what you often think is energy-closing, that is, an excessive draft in the forehead. Drawn or actually suppressed - only affects the heat absorption ability marginally. What is then soot, or carbon black, which is an older term. There are fine carbon particles formed in incomplete combustion of carbonaceous substances. All soot is very clean and oilseeds belong to the cleanest soot. It is therefore contradictory that this waste not only stirs energy but also gets into the air and pollutes watercourses and lake aromas we do not take care of it.
The Fire Charter refers to deadlines, that is, about exemption from "prescribed sotning" for a certain period of time. It is the fire chief, in cooperation with the chimney sweep master in each municipality, which allows such an exception. However, in principle, similar rules apply throughout the country. The maximum termination period allowed is two years, unless you can find "special reasons" for an even longer sweeping stop. The Charter also states: "In sports cottages, summer cottages and other buildings, which are mainly used during the hot season and where burning is only a small amount every year, the deadline can sometimes be extended beyond two years."
Do not want to Having the soot climbing on the house is therefore no "special reason". But you might be comforted by the fact that the swab is now easier than it has been. For example, it is not very long since the soot shutters were introduced. Before that, the soot hit holes in the side walls of the fireplace.
This is what you need when economizing the boiler:
Soap scraper, wrench, brow brush or steel brush, shovel, short brush shovel brush, battery lamp, soap bucket, work glove.
2. If possible, measure the flue gas temperature and compare it with the previous measurement.
3. Consult the chimney sweeper about any financial statement.
There are anti-detergents that reduce the ignition temperature of the soot so that it is oxidized during combustion and loosens solid coatings. This product is available for purchase in hardware stores and is available for both oil-fired and solid fuel boilers that are fired with, for example, wood. When brushing the forehead, you can also remove the removable baffles and brush them clean with a toothbrush or steel brush.
If you notice that there is a glowing charcoal left in the boiler, allow it to remain you are absolutely sure it has gone out. Then wait a week to empty the boiler, otherwise there will be a risk of soot burning.
When changing fires with wood and oil, economics is particularly important. The boiler should always be soaked before switching to oil spill. To each boiler there should be a container for storage of ash and soot. The vessel must be made of heavy sheet and have a lid. You must not put a pan in a plastic bin. To ensure that no glow remains in the ashes or soot that has been placed in the vessel, it should not be emptied until after about one week of storage. According to the fire authorities, it should not be emptied.
2. If the oil burner is located on an openable door, swing the cover out to make it easier to work with the boiler.
3. Make sure that you Do not touch the part of the oil burner that should be inside the boiler during operation. You can then damage the sensitive parts of the burner.
4.Burst clean all surfaces of the boiler that you access through the inspection door. You can use a brush brush or steel brush.
5.Create exactly the same procedure in the burner door. Ideally, all parts of the metallic metal must be so clean that they are illuminated everywhere.
6.Press the pan thoroughly so that you are satisfied with the result. Light with a battery lamp. Cordless light entails short circuit risk.
7.When you have lost all solid soot, you must remove it from the boiler. Brush it off using brush and shovel. Be sure to get rid of all the guts.
8. Then close the filler cap, Tighten all gaps properly with a wrench to make sure they are closed and completely sealed.
9.Would you like to be sure that all gaps are tight you can hold on candles next to the slots. If the flame is sucked in, the lid is untight.
10.Now just turn on the power, start the boiler and check through the inspection hatch that the oil burner is running.
11.To make sure the economy is full and the boiler goes as it should, you should also measure the smoke gas temperature and read the efficiency.
